It is always best to reach out to us before the payment is missed. As soon as you feel you may not be able to make a payment, please contact one of our experienced, friendly Credit Control staff to discuss your account. The earlier you speak to them, the more options they have available to support you.
If you (or a member of your household) have:
Been made redundant or experienced changes to employment circumstances
Experienced changes to family circumstances
Reduced/low income (either temporary or long term)
Fallen behind in loan/credit repayments
Ill health
Been juggling multiple loan/credit repayment (over-indebted)
Then contact our Credit Control Department on 02920 883751 and select option 3. You can also email creditcontrol@smartmoneycymru.co.uk where you’ll receive a swift response.
Our Credit Control Department will:
- Meet with you in private to discuss your overall situation if needed
- Signpost you to FREE debt advice and budgeting services
- Assist you in getting back on track with repayments
- Discuss an affordable repayment plan whether temporary or permanent
- Request an income/expenditure (financial statement) to be completed to find the right support for you
If you find yourself having problems meeting your repayments on your Smart Money Cymru loan, we will do all we can to assist you. Do not ignore the problem — it will not go away
