A Successful Annual General Meeting
This year’s Annual General Meeting was one of our best attended - and most engaging - to date with an excellent turnout both in person and online. The energy reflected the commitment and passion of our members, volunteers, and partners as we look ahead to an exciting year for SMCCB.
A special thank you goes to the Caerphilly Miners Community Centre for hosting us. Their warm welcome, excellent facilities, and outstanding support helped make the meeting both comfortable and memorable.
During the AGM, we shared how SMCCB is building back strongly after a challenging year, with significant progress already made across the organisation. From operational improvements to renewed community engagement, the signs of positive momentum are clear.
We were also delighted to welcome Jeff Cuthbert as a new Director. His experience as a former Cabinet Member and Police and Crime Commissioner and commitment will be an invaluable addition to our Board.
Looking forward, we outlined ambitious plans to strengthen our presence in Powys and Newport, ensuring that more people can benefit from the cooperative, member-focused approach that defines SMCCB.
