Smart Money Cymru Earns Prestigious Investing in Volunteers Accreditation
At Smart Money Cymru, we have proudly earned the Investing in Volunteers (LiV) accreditation. This significant achievement follows rigorous assessments and underscores our steadfast commitment to our volunteers.
With 18 full and part-time volunteers across our 12 sites in South and Mid Wales, volunteers play a crucial role in our daily operations, supporting the bank’s 14,000 members and working alongside our full and part-time staff.
The Community Bank, which started in Caerphilly, has experienced rapid growth, recently merging with Newport, Brecon, and Red Kite Credit Union in Llandrindod Wells. This expansion has involved relocating and refurbishing premises and enhancing financial technology, ensuring that you, our members, receive high-quality banking services and access to loans and savings accounts.
Community Banks like ours are becoming ever more important as mainstream banks close their branches, particularly in rural areas, and we are becoming a popular alternative. We are expanding and upgrading our offer, and this is why we are growing so quickly.
As part of the LiV accreditation process, a selection of Smart Money Cymru volunteers were interviewed to share their experiences. Their feedback was overwhelmingly positive, reflecting their pride in supporting the local community and making a difference locally.
There are many reasons to volunteer, bringing numerous benefits to the individual, the organisation they choose to support, and, of course, the community. At Smart Money Cymru, we depend on them and would encourage anyone interested to come in for a chat at one of our branches or visit our website at smartmoneycymru.co.uk for more information!
Smart Money Cymru's recognition with the LiV accreditation is a testament to the vital role volunteers play in our success and its commitment to fostering a supportive and impactful volunteer program.
